Yves Gallet is a professor of Medieval Art History at the University Bordeaux Montaigne, who is mainly interested in architecture of the period between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries. He explores architecture from the perspective of its construction, dealing especially with the role of an architect in the medieval building workshop's complex practice. Furthermore, he also specializes in monastic architecture and the function of monastic spaces.
